Engage Consult is our new online consultation provider. This will be replacing eConsult from 1st April 2025 for all medical and administrative queries, but will launch for fit note requests only from Thursday 20th March 2025.

Moving to Engage Consult – A New Online Consultation System

Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, we have been using eConsult as our online consultation system. Over the past year alone, we’ve received more than 18,000 eConsult submissions, showing how valuable online access has become for both patients and staff.

However, we want to improve the way we provide online access to our services. Engage Consult will allow us to offer a more efficient system with better communication and a smoother experience for patients.

What’s Changing and When?

• We will begin using Engage Consult with a soft launch on 20th March 2025 for fit note requests.
• The full launch will take place on 1st April 2025.
• From the end of March, eConsult will no longer be available—Engage Consult will be our only online consultation service.

Why Are We Making This Change?

Engage Consult will allow us to provide an improved service, with benefits such as:
✔ A more user-friendly system.
✔ Instant notifications on your phone when we respond (if notifications are enabled).
✔ The ability to message back and forth within the same request, rather than submitting a new one the next day.
✔ An option to register and manage requests for others, such as children or parents.

How to Register

You can sign up in one of the following ways:

1. Sign up online via the link above.
2. Download the “Engage Consult” app and register. Make sure to select ‘Maryhill Group Practice’ when prompted.

If possible, we recommend downloading the app, as it provides instant notifications and a more convenient way to communicate with us.

Getting Ready for the Change

If you currently use eConsult, we encourage you to register for Engage Consult now to ensure a smooth transition in April. We believe this system will help us provide a more effective online service, making it easier for patients to access care when they need it.
