Travel Vaccinations
The travel clinic is held on a Friday afternoon.The clinic is run by nurses who have had specialist training in travel health issues. Appointments need to be booked beforehand. You can only be seen at this clinic if you have at least 6 weeks left before travelling (subject availability of appointments) . There is no cost for attending this clinic.
This clinic is for people travelling abroad on holiday.

Nurses are NOT available to give travel advice over the telephone.
Some immunisations for travel abroad are not available on the NHS and there will be a charge for these. These are listed in the Travel Clinic Questionnaire located at the bottom of this page.
If you are working abroad you need to access travel advice and immunisations including prescriptions for antimalarials (if required) through your employer’s occupational health scheme or from one of the private clinics listed in the Travel Clinic Questionnaire document at the bottom of the page

It is important that the date for your travel appointment is as early as possible - at least 8 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
